The Ford Bronco is a build that has been firmly embedded in contemporary culture one way or another. The truck that always seems to be one sharp turn away from the body tipping off from the wheelbase isn’t for everybody, nobody appreciates that more than Classic Ford Broncos. This garage, however, is completely devoted to the model, producing the most covetable custom Broncos in the world. Not convinced? Take a look at Vail.
While the original Ford Broncos, produced between 1966 and 1977 weren’t renowned for their high performance, Classic Ford Broncos have cooked up the perfect recipe to change all of that. Maintaining the unforgettable shape, CFB will change two main components: the powertrain and the price. The 1966 price tag of $2,194 has been replaced by something along the lines of $150,000-$200,000.
Vail is a mean machine. Henry Ford himself once said: “You can have whatever colour you want, as long as you want black.” Words that Classic Ford Broncos obviously took notice of. Vail boasts Midnight Onyx paintwork over a Black basketweave leather interior for a truly monochromatic finish.
The 1968 Ford Bronco features a Ford Racing 5.0L Coyote engine, 4R70W Automatic transmission, Borgeson steering, Hydroboost with Wilwood brakes and a 2.5” lift height. A roll cage and 33” BFG Mud Terrain tires suggest that this motor is made for more than flat roads but, for an owner who only drives roads, a sleek soft top can be pulled over.
