Wax London started life with the aim of bringing the tradition of 'making' back to the UK. Every step in the label's design process takes place in London, even the inspirations behind the clothing are rooted in co-founders Tom and Rich’s British upbringing. Combine that with third co-founder Steffy’s Scandinavian background and the final product is a label producing menswear that blends London’s raw energy with hints of minimal Scandinavian design ideals. The Wax London Autumn/Winter 2019 collection just landed at OPUMO and we're stocking up for the coming season.

We thought it was only right to put the brand in the spotlight as we pick out our five must-have items from the Wax London Autumn/Winter 2019 collection.

Wax London Black Windowcheck Witham Coach Jacket

The Windowcheck Witham Coach Jacket caters to all of our autumn requirements. Wax’s famous Coach Jacket has been reworked and given a wool-blend update. Sharp tailoring means it’s neither too slim nor too boxy and each feature is cut cleanly. A two-way zip fastening allows you to adjust your look and makes this piece the dream layering tool.

Wax London Moss Stone Chet Jacket

New for Autumn/Winter 2019, the Chet Jacket is named after jazz legend Chet Baker who stood out not only for his musical skills but his iconic style. This piece is rooted in workwear tradition and is cut to show it, the boxy fit allows for freedom of movement as well as layering. The Moss Stone colourway is perfectly suited to the muted hues of autumn style.

Wax London Stormy Sea Chet Jacket

It’s a new style and we like it so much that we’re cheating and putting it in twice. If you’re looking to make more of a statement with the Chet Jacket, opt for the Stormy Sea version. The versatile jacket features a washed-out finish thanks to the garment dying treatment given to the cotton construction.

Wax London Desert Sand Kurt Trousers

The Kurt Trouser features a straight-leg that’s slightly tapered to the bottom. The relaxed fit of the pair is complemented by the elasticated drawstring waistband that makes them a formidably versatile choice. We think that the Desert Sand colourway is about as easy as autumn styling comes, combine it with dark green or dark blue.

Wax London Deep Navy Bampton Shirt

We’ve seen the Bampton Shirt before, but Autumn/Winter 2019 sees the classic piece return in an all-new, sustainable Lyocell fabric also known as Tencel. The fine material is lightweight, meaning it hangs gracefully when worn and is hard to crease. Garment dyed to lend the piece worn-in appeal, this shirt should be your number one choice throughout autumn.
