Head of Marketing & Partnerships

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop briefs and execute marketing strategies to support company goals
  • Drive periodic analyses, including deep dives on the customer and sub-regional performance insights
  • Close collaboration with creative and brand partnerships teams to craft channel based marketing strategies (ie. Email, Social, Print, Site, Affiliates, etc.)
  • Lead and project manage local partnerships and brand activations with seamless expertise – and uphold brand values on any in-market events and activations
  • Own media planning and strategy for OPUMO; close collaboration with paid acquisition advisors and agencies
  • Deliver clear insights and recommendations to shape overall marketing approach
  • Build relationships with local media partners, affiliates, and influencers
  • Bring new ideas and opportunities for OPUMO across the globe

Data Analyst Intern (paid)

 

How can you expect to spend your day? 

You will join the business as a Data Analyst Intern to identify and analyse customer behaviour and website data to help make data driven decisions which shape the company’s marketing and product development strategy. This is an interesting position within the company as your analysis will identify new business opportunities through website changes, develop new marketing campaigns and help grow this fast-paced start-up business.  

Tasks you can expect to learn about and undertake include:

  • The focus of this job is data extraction, aggregation and analysis of multiple data sources to give actionable insights of how the business and its customers operate.
  • Create monthly reports and dashboards to aid decisions for change and identify opportunities.
  • Analyse site optimisations to prove value and suggest future changes.
  • Analyse marketing activities and find opportunities for improvements.
  • Support the team with data analysis when investigating new opportunities.
  • Help with customer segmentation to aid marketing activity.
  • Regularly check the integrity of data and track this for accuracy. 

 

What are the ideal intern’s skills, personality and qualifications? 

  • Educated to degree level, maths or science based subjects are preferred.
  • A clear, concise and confident communicator.
  • A positive and energetic approach to work.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • A numerate person comfortable working with and analysing data.
  • A team player with the ability to think on their feet and not be phased or put-out by fast moving situations.
  • Someone interested to learn what makes a business grow, with good business acumen and someone who sees themselves one day starting their own company.
  • Prior experience using a CRM tool such as Ometria is a bonus but not a pre-requisite. 

 

 

Merchandising Intern (paid)

 

How can you expect to spend your day?

 

We’re looking for a merchandising intern who is passionate about design and curation and someone who wants to work in a fun and fast growing ecommerce environment. You'll be working alongside the Creative Director, Editor and Content Manager to maintian the high levels accross the site, both product and content pages, to maintain the high level of curation and aesthetic continuity OPUMO has become so well known for! 

 

Tasks you can expect to undertake include:

 

  • Optimise product information to increase conversion and product performance
  • Support the wider curation and creative team in our growing community of design led brands ensuring that new products are created and curated inline with OPUMO’s guidelines and tastelevels.
  • Perform site walks regularly to ensure products are listed correctly and consistently.
  • Work confidently across wider teams and support daily merchandising activities.

Video and Motion Graphics Design Intern (paid)

 

How can you expect to spend your day?

 

We’re looking for a video and motion graphics design intern who is passionate about design and creating engaging content across multiple mediums who wants to work in a fun and fast growing ecommerce environment. With a background in design you will use your skills to deliver visuals and motion graphics creatively to brief and work collaboratively within the team to ensure we are providing the best possible outcome.

 

What are the intern’s skills, personality and qualifications?

 

  • A creative mind with a steady flow of ideas and the ability to execute them quickly.
  • Exceptional skills in Motion Graphics, video and design.
  • Excellent kenetic typography and layout skills.
  • Experience with After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere.
  • Technical understanding of formats, online workflows and rendering for fast turnarounds.
  • As we’re a startup, things often move and change at a high pace and the ability to continually adapt is a must.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a fun and passionate team.

 

 

Social Media and Influencer Marketing Intern (paid)

 

As the Social Media Content Specialist you’ll be directly involved in all social media channels and be responsible for its content and growth. We are seeking someone with strong knowledge of all social media platforms and have experiences developing and executing great content. This role will be asked to own the content development process, develop a content schedule, and report on social media KPIs.

 

This person must have experience creating their own content. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, can work independently, and a great communicator.

 

How can you expect to spend your day?   

 

  • Increase followers and engagement on all social media channels. Grow site-traffic.
  • Develop thoughtful social media campaigns to bring in new prospective customers as well as re-engage our current customer base
  • Engage with influencers and partners create content and promote existing posts
  • Track social media KPI and performance analytics on all campaigns.

 

What are the intern’s skills, personality and qualifications?

 

  • BS/BA degree in business, marketing, journalism, communications or a related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Must have experience in creating and generating own content
  • Knowledge of watches and jewellery a strong plus
  • Deep understanding and experience of all social media platforms
  • Good understanding of front-end metrics across social media platforms
  • Experience navigating social media platform dashboards and tools
  • Understanding of A/B testing concepts to increase engagement
  • Experience working both independently and with internal teams to develop original content Ability to act autonomously and self-manage
  • Comfortable with fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, and changing priorities
  • Examples of successful social media campaigns a big plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
