Kichizo Yoshida, the founder of Yoshida & Co., jumped into the world of bag manufacturing at the age of 12, until he passed away at the age of 88. His philosophy of ‘heart and soul in every stitch’, still persists as the corporate motto and continues to inspire everything that the brand does today.
In 1962, Yoshida launched its first private brand ‘Porter’ and today the established Tokyo brand is known for producing high-quality bags and luggage. All Porter’s manufacturing takes place in Japan, where the brand runs more than 50 specialist workshops, and each Porter bag offers the perfect balance between form and function while also carrying on Yoshida’s legacy in the process.
