Common Projects’ Achilles Low style ushered in a new age of men’s footwear. The perfectly proportioned design showed that sneakers needn’t be scruffy and will go down in history as a footwear icon.
Launched in 2004, New York-based footwear label Common Projects is a collaboration between creatives Flavio Girolami and Prathan Poopat which draws on the inspiration that can be found in the fundamental architecture of everyday objects.
The brand’s sleek, clean-lined aesthetic has given birth to one of the most iconic sneakers of the modern era – the Original Achilles Low – which is easily identifiable by its discreet utilitarian design, high-quality Italian craftsmanship and gold stamp to the heel.
