The History of Ettinger

Founded in 1934 by Gerry Ettinger, the eponymous company is still 100% family-owned and run. Through the 1950s and '80s, Ettinger gradually strengthened its manufacturing base in London and then in Walsall, still under the helm of Gerry Ettinger. Robert Ettinger, Gerry's eldest son, took over in 1990. The company has since specialised further into small high-quality leather goods and developed the brand even further. Ettinger is one of an exclusive number of British brands who hold a royal warrant. They not only have The Prince of Wales' stamp of approval but the warrant is handed to a brand who have had an ongoing trading agreement with the Royal Household for at least five years.
