There may be a wealth of site-specific, automotive themed events in the world but there is none quite like Luftgekuhlt. Founded as a series of motoring events, Luftgekuhlt features a carefully curated list of historically significant or interesting cars across both race and street editions. Alongside a unique and unexpected blend of venues, creative collaborations, iconic cars, enthusiastic followers and a mix of art and music – Luftgekuhlt has become one of the most celebrated car shows in the world.
Founded by Porsche works driver Patrick Long and creative director Howie Idelson, Luftgekuhlt commemorates all things Porsche. In anticipation of the latest event on April 10th 2016, Luftgekuhlt has teamed up with RM Sotheby’s to auction off a custom-built, rally-inspired 911.
Designed to excel in both form and function, the unique model is equally adept as a daily driver as well as an enigmatic off-roader. In order to create this one-of-a-kind machine, Luftgekuhlt team acquired the help of some of the world’s best automotive artists and builders- most noticeably Rod Emory of Emory Motorsports and Deus Machina’s own Carby Tuckwell. The result, as one would expect, culminates in the creation of a truly exceptional piece of modern motoring history.
But you haven’t got long, so for full auction information head to the RM Sotheby’s website before the auction on April 10th 2016. All proceeds will be donated to the Autumn Leaves Project.
