ISTO. has never been one for gimmicks. The Portuguese label keeps its collections tight, its fabrics natural and its pace intentionally slow. Now it’s taking that formula into new territory with the Merino Active Pack – a stripped-back, no-nonsense line-up of performance staples made entirely from merino wool.

If you’re not familiar, merino is basically nature’s answer to sportswear. It’s renewable, biodegradable and doesn’t dump microplastics into the ocean every time you do a wash. More importantly, it works. The fibre is soft but tough, light but long-lasting, breathable, odour-resistant and thermoregulating. That means it adapts to your body and surroundings without relying on the usual cocktail of synthetics.

The pack itself is simple: a T-shirt, a pair of shorts and a cap. The tee is cut from a fine merino jersey that feels like an everyday favourite but performs like a training top. The shorts use a lightweight woven merino that’s as comfortable on the move as it is on the sofa. And the cap takes a classic silhouette and reworks it in a fabric that actually earns its keep.

It’s activewear, but not as you know it – unfussy, functional and firmly rooted in ISTO.’s belief that better basics beat endless product drops.
