Porsche isn’t content with just the open road. Now it wants a piece of the swell too. For its latest foray into lifestyle design, the German marque has teamed up with California-based Almond Surfboards, creating a limited-edition collection that fuses surf culture with sports car heritage.
This second wave of the ‘Single Fins & Air-Cooled Engines’ series takes its cue from the classic 911 Carrera RS 2.7 – the legendary ‘ducktail’ model that first rolled off the production line in 1972. Naturally, just 72 of these 6ft swallowtail boards will be made, each finished in ‘Grand Prix White’ with a choice of blue, red, or green accents. Carrera script, Porsche crests and the signature ‘72’ racing number all nod to the original icon.

Hand-shaped in California, the board pairs polyurethane foam with basswood stringers and a fibreglass shell – performance-driven craftsmanship that feels as good under your feet as it does strapped to the roof of your vintage 911. It’s the sort of thing you’d buy to surf, but probably end up mounting on your living room wall instead.

Alongside the board, the drop includes retro T-shirts, caps, sweatshirts, boardshorts and beach essentials – each piece designed to channel that laid-back SoCal spirit without going full Joey Tribiani.

Whether you’re carving waves or just want a pieces of off-kilter wall art, this is Porsche at its most playful. Limited edition, of course, the Porsche x Almond Surfboards collection is available now at select Porsche dealerships, Almond’s Costa Mesa store, and online at porsche.com and almondsurfboards.com.
