Ideal for speedy trips, the RS6 Avant may just be the ultimate sleeper. It's an estate car, but not as you know it. No-one's going to pay much attention to this 2003 Mugello Blue RS6, and that's the whole point.
Take a close look though, and the details give the game away. Widened wheel arches aren't just for show — this is an Audi after all — but are needed to house the 19 inch Titan Grey alloys, shod with low profile Michelin Pilot tyres. The interior may be in oh-so-sensible grey leather but open up the bonnet and there's the brutal sight of the RS6 Avant's 4.2L twin turbo V8, capable of 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds (putting it amongst the fastest Audi cars in production) and 155 mph on your nearest autobahn.
Oh, and did we mention the Avant's Quattro four wheel drive system? Like the one off Audi's all-conquering rally heroes of the 1980s? This RS6 will literally pull you out of the mire, any mire. For just over £15k, you can't go wrong.
