Project name: House in Urcasa | Location: Lloret de Mar, Spain | Completed: 2018 | Architect: 05 AM Arquitectura

A vast property located in Lloret de Mar, Spain, House in Urcasa has an imposing form built around a geometric array of shapes both pleasing to the eye and functional in use.

Covering 320 square metres, House in Urcasa’s huge size is balanced by an equally impressive outside space, split over two levels. The infinity pool blends into the sea on the horizon while the house's north facing position ensures plenty of sunlight hits it throughout the day.

The street-facing frontage of House in Urcasa is deceptively small considering the rest of the property, hiding the vast space within. Made up of a number of geometric shapes, both irregular and linear, its usual layout is pared with a white-wall interior, that only furthers the feeling of openness inside.

Perhaps best of all is the roof terrace, which boasts panoramic views of the ocean. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind, big enough for a small party yet intimate enough for a small family or couple.
