Led by basketball-fan founder Stéphane Ashpool, French fashion brand Pigalle have teamed up with Parisian creative agency Ill-Studio and NIKE to redesign the iconic Pigalle basketball court – and to give a whole new meaning to the term 'protect the paint' in the process.

Coinciding with the release of Pigalle’s latest clothing collection created in collaboration with NIKELab, the illustrious Parisian basketball court – which can be found sandwiched between a pair of apartment buildings – has undergone a major makeover.

The court welcomes visitors on Rue Duperré through hot pink and bright blue gates, that leads to a colourful playground beyond. The sun-stained paint strokes and bold colour hues blanket the basketball court’s walls and floor, while the complementing indigo hues have been conceived by Ill-Studio to correspond with the collection’s 1990s basketball-inspired aesthetic.
