Call us easy, but we get very excited when new products begin to trickle on to the site again at the beginning of each season. When it comes to the world of interior design and furniture, few loom as large as Normann Copenhagen. The Danish studio specialises in minimal furniture that pays as close attention to functionality as it does style. We’ve chosen our favourite pieces from the new items and we think it should be enough to spark a seasonal interior upgrade.
Form is an iconic design. Timeless and effortlessly stylish, the black wooden legs form the foundation for the ergonomic polypropylene seat. Supremely comfortable, this piece is a welcome addition to dining rooms and living rooms alike.
Inspired by professional stage lighting, this lamp embodies the intersection between functionality and style. Standing on a low tripod, it casts a warm beam wherever it’s pointed courtesy of the industrial lamp shade.
We’re kicking off with one of our highlights, the Ding table which changes the way we view flat-pack furniture. Three oak planks form the base on which the glass top sits. The strikingly simple design is effective and versatile.
Made of stained ash and paper cord, Knot is a comfortable and straightforward option. The unimposing design will suit a range of interior styles and hold its own all the while.
A subtle and regimented steel frame contrasts with the smooth curvature of the moulded oak veneer seat for the Studio Armchair. This design is wildly popular thanks to its applicability to any situation, when not in use simply stack them in the corner.
Swell is a three-seater sofa that is bound to make an impact. The exaggerated style looks as though it’s seconds from popping thanks to the HR38 cold foam seats and HR35 cold foam backrest and arms, all covered in supersoft S25 cold foam. Sink into this and feel your problems float away.
The delicate glass lamp of the Amp lamp is connected to the 2 metre textile cord with a marble module that gives this design its unique edge. Hang in multiples for an extra striking effect.
Each lamp in the Amp range boasts a unique marble connection, making them ideal to arrange in groups. In true Normann Copenhagen fashion, the design is stripped back to its absolute essence: a wire, connector, bulb and shade.
A returning design for Normann Copenhagen, and it’s easy to see why, the Eddy table lamp is made of a steel screen with integrated LED lights and a base made from hand turned Italian marble. The base and shade meet at a brass ball which allows the shade to be rotated and tilted to adjust the beam. When turned on, the interplay between marble and light shows this lamp’s true glory.
