SPF: Architects may have just finished the most enviable residence of the year. Orum is an 18,800 sq. ft. Mansion nestled above the bright lights of Los Angeles. The property is shaped like a three-winged propeller, maximising views that stretch from the Getty Centre to Long Beach, Century City and Downtown.

House

The client brief was a luxurious house where she could throw large event and host her extended family. This home is the peak of luxury, we’re sure of that. When it comes to throwing events, the three floors of the house are filled with details and intricacies, such as the outdoor kitchen, two fire pits, LED-lit pool, and the garage that serves as an event space. The basement level houses a home theatre, gym, spa, cedar sauna, service kitchen, and a wine room large enough for 1000 bottles - party sorted.

Our favourite of the countless details of this house is the glass, developed with Shuco/Glasbox, which utilises 5 different widths of 4 different opacities that together give the house an infinite, shimmering façade.

No wonder this place took 4 years to finish.
