Since it was founded a few years back by friends Oscar Phillips and Sheriff-Deen Showobi, Oscar Deen has become renowned for its vintage-inspired acetate sunglasses, beloved by style-conscious sunseekers the world over for their sturdy construction and classic frames. Now, the London-based label is branching out, applying its eyewear expertise to spectacles – news that spec-wearing fans of the brand have long been awaiting.

"We are called Oscar Deen Eyewear, this was on purpose," Showobi and Phillips explain of the decision to expand their range to spectacles. "The seasonality of sunnies gave us the breathing room we needed to learn the ropes. However, the dream was always to return the old gems we’d found to their original purpose. Plus we both wear specs!"

Maintaining the meticulous attention to detail and high quality craftsmanship that it's so renowned for, Oscar Deen's spectacle lenses are made from lightweight organic plastic for ultimate clarity. Just like its signature sunnies, all frames are made from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, rendering them hard-wearing yet elegant – a no-brainer for any eyewear enthusiast. With five retro-inspired frames on offer – the Nelson, Fraser, Pinto, Otis and Carril, each available in a range of colours – your challenge will be whittling your choice down to one pair.
