Out of the box.
For when buying a classic race car is not enough. Introducing the vintage Porsche 930 Turbo race car, complete with a complimenting Magirus built racecar transporter. The perfect combination of style and sensibility.
The car itself was conceived on the principles of a classic 1977 Porsche 930 for the racing team of Norm Goodrich. In 2000, the Porsche, under control of a new owner, underwent a plethora of restorations to bring it up to modern requirements. The body shell was strengthened with a tube frame and cage and the engine boosted to a 3.2 litre turbo, which with a racing weight of only 1086 kg, meant the 935 reached a breath-taking top speed of 290km/h. The simplistically stylish Porsche exterior sits on a set of BBS racing wheels with 11x16” for the front axle and 14.5x16 for the rear. It also proudly boasts a Brembo brake system and a Garrett turbocharger. Its simply jaw dropping in every aspect, not only in aesthetic but in its sheer pulling power.
The transporter, meanwhile, has been modelled on the Mercedes Porsche racecar version. It’s equipped with a hydraulic platform and a lifting capacity of 1500kg. The Magirus designed transporter is also soundproof and comes with a side door with fold out stairs to give you that full race day experience.
This package rolls up to auction via Auctionata on the 12th of December 20125, perfect if you’re struggling for out of the box gift ideas.
