This is no ordinary Aston Martin. As we are sure you are aware, the V8 Vantage Saloon is one of the most cherished models on the road. Yet, that is not the only reason why this 1985 edition is so imperiously special.
This five-speed manual V8 was ordered new by Sir Elton John via the Aston Martin Showroom on Sloane Street, London. Of course, the appeal of having Sir Elton’s name accredited to the car only heightens its allure, but it shouldn’t detract from what is a spectacular car in its own right.
Completed on the 7th July, 1985, the car remains in exquisite condition – presented in its original colour scheme of Royal Cherry with Magnolia upholstery and complementing Royal Cherry piping. What is more, this right-hand-drive model received the desirable RSW 7.0 litre engine and gearbox upgrade from bespoke Aston Martin Heritage agents, Richard Stewart Williams. The result, as one would expect, propels the V8 above its contemporaries as it possesses potent speed and power to complement its elegant exterior.
Recently serviced by Aston martin marque specialists and fitted with a new AP brake upgrade kit, the car currently reads just 45,965 miles on the clock – which makes it ready and waiting to hit the road once more. Beautifully preserved, the Vantage is complete with a full history file including certificate of origin and of course, a Sir Elton John signed brochure.
And it could all be yours, as the model is currently listed with fine historic car auctioneers, Fiskens. Whatever the price, for a car in this condition, it stands as no sacrifice at all.
