The SS15 collection from Diemme footwear speaks of the deep heritage of this proudly family-run operation, in the town of Montebelluna to the north-west of Venice.

With more than 20 years of experience in making hiking, hunting and trekking boots as well as footwear for brands such as Maison Martin Margiela, Chanel, Bottega Veneta and Gucci, Diemme's own collections offer history and proud craftsmanship.

Garda

A handmade pair of slip-on sneakers conceived to cocoon your feet in sheer Italian luxury. Diemme first made sneakers in a strictly limited edition for Bottega Veneta in the 1990s, and later for a range commissioned by Vans. Here, Diemme use heavyweight suede silkily finished in shark's fin by the British tannery Charles F Stead. With calf inners and a Serena rubber cupsole from a small Italian specialist, these sneakers are sleek, sophisticated and serene.

Veneto Low

Minimalism reborn in an Italian sneaker. With the subtle sheen of rubberized black leather uppers, the Veneto Low is all about the detail and the craftsmanship. Trim is in nappa leather, Italian laces are coated, eyelets are Austrian-made and the calf lining offers cosseting comfort. Serena rubber soles are designed for life, from an Italian maker. These sneakers whisper their presence and we love them for that.

Marostica low

Speaking of the hiking and workwear backdrop of Diemme, the Marostica Low is handmade in baby calf patent leather. Detailing echoes the hiking boots that Calzaturificio Diemme factory has made for some of Italy's finest names. Inners are calf, with a vegetable latex footbed and a leather upper lining. There's a gusseted leather tongue with vegetable latex padding for added water resistance, and greater padding to the instep. Form here strictly follows function.
