In the tech-obsessed world of high-performance outdoor gear, more often means better. More layers, more zips, more pockets, more toggles. But the Haglöfs L.I.M Series (that’s short for ‘Less Is More’) flips that whole way of thinking on its head. The Swedish brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection strips everything back to the essentials, but not at the expense of performance. Minimalist aesthetically, but not in terms of features nor functionality.

At the heart of the drop is the Haglöfs L.I.M AIRAK GTX Jacket, a 3-layer GORE-TEX shell with all the waterproofing and breathability you’d expect, minus the weight. It’s made with PFAS-free GORE-TEX ePE and backed with soft C-KNIT, so it feels more like a mid-layer than a technical shell. Ideal for warm-weather adventures. it weighs a mere 270 grams and packs into its own pocket, which pretty much sums up the entire philosophy behind L.I.M.

Elsewhere, the L.I.M AIRAK 2.5L Jacket trades in GORE-TEX for recycled Pertex Shield Revolve, keeping things breathable and sustainable, while the Mid Fast II Hood – cut from Polartec Power Wool – proves you can layer responsibly and still stay comfortable at speed. Even the T-shirt is considered: lightweight, moisture-wicking, and cut to reduce chafing. Because no one needs a performance tee that rubs.

The standout isn’t a single item though, it’s the approach. Haglöfs isn’t pushing people to gear up for every scenario. Instead, it’s asking a simple question: what do you actually need? The answer, it turns out, is less than you think – provided it’s designed this well.

The L.I.M Series launches May 2025 via haglofs.com and select retailers.
