There are many reasons that we love Schnayderman's, but to summarise: do less but better. Founders Joel Urwitz and Victor Press recognise that instead of trying to endlessly expand their product offering they can just perfect the art of shirting and if they haven’t yet reached perfection then we think they’re pretty close. Catering to all occasions and needs by producing a wide range of tailored cuts and more relaxed fits, there’s a Schnayderman’s shirt for everyone. The newest drop from the Swedish brand sees no change on that front, so here are our favourite picks and how we’re wearing them this season.
Nothing beats a well-made Oxford shirt, and this is one well-made Oxford shirt. The indigo stripe Oxford is made of 100% Italian cotton, complete with mother of pearl button closure, button-down collar, chest pocket and curved hem. Everything is executed to ensure that its one of the best fitting shirts around. The relaxed indigo stripe gives the shirt a naturally casual look and feel, so when it comes to styling we’re choosing Legends Ecru Hermosa Pants - a comfortable elasticated trouser that will balance out the blue and white stripes into a carefree summertime colour palette.
The Green Swan Shirt is one of our favourite pieces in the latest Schnayderman's collection because it relays the brand's message of carefree, contemporary clothing better than any other. The multicolour graphic print leans towards the understated end of the patterned shirt scale which means its fitting for any casual cohort while the viscose construction makes it lightweight, breathable and incredibly comfortable to wear through the warm summer evenings. Plus, the notched collar, relaxed silhouette and fall of the viscose fabric will make the shirt sit better on the body better too.
At first look it may appear like a dark denim shirt, and the shape may look like a breezy summer shirt. Both would be adequate observations and both are two decent reasons why you will want this Schnayderman's Boxy One Shirt. If you fancy a few more reasons, it's cut from lightweight tencel for a little extra comfort. The contrasting white stitching gives it a subtle western feel - as do the oversized mother of pearl buttons, chest pocket and drop-tail hem.
Schnayderman’s has been at the forefront of the zipshirt revival over the last year or so and they’re pretty intent on keeping the momentum going with the release of this Dark Blue Window Pane Zipshirt. It’s our favourite because, like all great shirts, it pleasingly treads the line between smart and casual, while the subtle window pane pattern adds personality without dominating attention. The shirt also stands out for its large chest pocket and its double-ended zipper that you can personalise as you see fit. Although, we recommend layering the zipshirt up with the Kestin Hare Cord-Wick Trousers as the lightweight handle and classic styling make for a perfect spring trouser – especially as they can help subdue the window pane print a little too.
This long-sleeved linen-blend overshirt is ideal for the coming summer months. The light, airy material works alone or layered over a t-shirt while the neutral sand colour hue means it can be easily matched to a host of colour hues from black, grey and khaki. The Schnayderman’s Overshirt is particularly special because it also blends an amalgamation of different influences into one contemporary, easy-to-wear shirt. The lightweight linen-cotton shirt adopts real horn, Talcato buttons, patch pockets at the chest and the waist and a neat spread collar.
As you’ve come to expect, Schanyderman’s haven’t just released one lightweight overshirt for you to eulogise over. No, they’ve got a few. From the long-sleeve Check Pattern Linen Shirt that will look great with a tailored trousers and a light grey t-shirt in more formal occasions to the pop Yellow Tech One Shirt – something that takes the overshirt in a whole other direction. Perfect when paired with a whites and neutral hues.
