Each and every week we welcome in some of the finest pieces of design from around the world, and although it’s incredibly exciting, it’s hard to keep track on what’s just landed. So, to keep you in the loop, here are five of our favourite items that we’re talking about in the office right now.

HAY Black DLM XL Side Table

HAY is the latest name to the OPUMO homeware rails – one that we’re particularly proud to introduce you to – as the studio's vision of straightforward, functional and aesthetic design has spawned a number of incredibly popular furniture pieces over the last decade or so. The arrival of the DLM Side Table is another successful evolution in the fun-loving HAY design ethos, as it pretty much represents everything that is adored about the Danish design studio. The idea behind the side table is literally in its name – ‘Don’t Leave Me’ – which allows you to take the table with you. The powder coated metal table is slim, slight and features a sculpted handle on top to allow you to carry it around easily, Simple, really.

Vitamin Green Pitch Pendant

It seems that every week there is a new piece of Vitamin homeware to wax lyrical about, and even though we’ve all been caught up on the Vitamin I.V Drip Plant, there is another new release that is taking the design world by storm. With an iconic silhouette when hung alone, the lines of the Vitamin Pitch Pendant also complement each other when hung as a cluster, which makes the light rather indispensable. No matter how your interior may change, the Pitch Pendant will evolve with it. Plus, the pendant is comprised of a banded spun aluminium shade that is poised on an internal dome which can be posed to guide light in any direction. Handy, too.

JAK Dust Royal Sneakers

The things we should all look out for in a minimalist sneaker; versatility, comfort, reliability and, of course, elegant design, are the cornerstones of JAK’s Royal Sneaker. To give the Royal an even greater lift this season, JAK has just released a quadruplet of new colourways - Nude, NZ Royal, Dark Blue and Dust. Our particular favourite, the tonal Dust, marries light grey full grain Italian leather uppers with a stitched plain rubber cup sole, a premium natural calfskin lining and an incredibly comfortable shock-proof insole. Like we said, it’s everything you want in a premium sneaker.

De Bonne Facture Navy Slubbed Cotton Chore Jacket

Named after a French expression meaning ‘of good quality,’ De Bonne Facture delivers elegant and understated men’s essentials made to be worn and last in time, using high-quality fabrics and by working with hand-picked ateliers from the finest regions in France. It’s a beautifully simple and efficient mission statement that sees De Bonne take different design cues from across the menswear landscape to make one understated capsule collection. This Chore Jacket, for instance, is one of our particular favourites thanks to its vintage Safari Jacket shape that has been carefully elevated with a soft construction and an elegant, slim fit silhouette.

Charlotte Taylor Chengdu Café Print

Charlotte Taylor is a unique force in the world of modern art as she describes her approach as a ‘combination of fine art practice and design process’ and her drawings often transform existing architectural forms with the addition of fictional and playful elements. Taylor’s latest release pays homage to the iconic Chengdu Café and it has been transformed into a wonderfully enchanting space that is defined by clean lines, strong shapes and the play of light and shadow – the signature qualities of all Charlotte Taylor’s images.
