Welcome to OPUMO's weekly roundup of our favourite shoppable finds. From outerwear to decorative objects and everything in between.

The imminent arrival of summer is beginning to feel like more than just wishful thinking. Spending time outside is starting to be less feat of endurance and more something we want to spend our weekends and evenings doing.

It's at this time of year that your home gains an extra room – the garden. So if you're thinking of having people over to yours, here are a few bits and pieces to make sure you can host to the best of your abilities.

Snow Peak Cast Iron Oven

Japanese campware masters Snow Peak never miss when it comes to outdoor-cooking paraphernalia, and this cast-torn oven is further proof. Simply pop your ingredients in, stick it on the BBQ and away you go.

Margaret Howell Apron

If you're going to wear an apron you might as well do it properly. Forget the novelty tat and go with this tasteful option from Maragret Howell instead.

Pépin Orange Wine

Pépin isn't a winery, it's actually a collaborative project that launches a unique red, white and orange wine every year from different winemakers around France. Try saying that to your guests as you pour them a glass of this. They'll either think you're extremely cool and sophisticated or make a mental note not to invite you to parties.

Dometic Recon Cooler

Yeti is the name everyone throws around when talk turns to coolers, but Sweden's Dometic makes some great options in equally vibrant colours too.

Ethnicraft Circle Outdoor Table

The table is the centre of the action, so it's not to be scrimped on. We're big fans of this one from Ethnicraft – simple, stylish and perfect for paving, grass or decking.

Vaerk Heat Mittens

Oven gloves were never supposed to be cool, but these ones have somehow managed it. Try removing a roasting tray from the grill with these bad boys on and tell us it doesn't hit different.

&Klevering Small Plates Set

Why not make life more difficult for yourself by cooking multiple dishes? That's the fashionable thing to do after all. At least this colourful assortment of plates will lighten your mood as you toil away in that sweatbox of a kitchen in a bid to impress your guests.

Keen Uneek Sandal

If hot days in the back garden had an official shoe, it would undoubtedly be the Keen Uneek. People either love it or hate it, and we're firmly in the former camp.

Beams Plus Cordura Jungle Hat

A full-brim hat will give you a bit of valuable neck cover without having to do the whole backwards cap thing. This one from Beams Plus is our pick this year.

Aesop SPF Lotion

Sun protection is a necessary evil. It's greasy, it's sticky and it ruins T-shirts, but you've got to lather up if you want to protect your skin. At least this one from Aesop smells like something you might actually apply out of choice rather than necessity.

Fatboy Pensol Parasol

Block the big orange circle in the sky with a smaller big orange circle in your garden. Fatboy makes some excellent garden accessories, and parasols, as it turns out, are no exception.

HAY Haze Outdoor Rug

An outdoor rug can help to create a separate zone in your garden or yard while adding a bit of visual flavour. We like this one from HAY.
