It tends to be Tom Cruise who rides the motorcycles in the Mission Impossible films. Co-star Pom Klementieff decided she’d like one of her own in real life, and you see the sharp, stealthy results here: a Royal Enfield 650 Scrambler that looks like it means the business, and then some. Is it a marvel? Perhaps. Klementieff is arguably best known for playing Mantis in the Marvel Universe movies, but we’ll stop the movie puns now and focus on the bike. Promise.
It’s certainly a marvel, though. Co-conspirators on the build were starry customisers Bike Shed Moto Co. - and Royal Enfield themselves. It helped that biker Vikki van Someren, Bike Shed co-founder with husband Anthony ‘Dutch’ van Someren, is a close friend of Pom Klementieff. The result of this collaboration is a bike that would win every fight in a dark alleyway.

Starting point was the factory’s own production cafe racer, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, a highly desirable road bike in its own right. But its signature clip-on handlebars and large tank weren’t part of the new off roading image and they were the first to go.

Rethnal supplied the new handlebars with a tank from Royal Enfield’s own RF Interceptor, above an attention-grabbing bespoke matte-black headlight mask by Bike Shed’s Dutch and Adrian Sellers of Royal Enfield, based on a previous build. Yellow headlight tint adds unique night shade. No-nonsense saddle and short tail sub frame are by British specialists Sold Out Motorcycles.

BSMC x Pom Klementieff Royal Enfield 650: Superstar scrambler
Tom Hitchcox of Hitchcox Motorcycles is best known for his Formula One work. Ideal then for signature scrambler-style twin exhaust pipes, high level, out of any off-road danger and crucial for the look of this one-off machine. Tyres are on and off road K60s by Heidenau. Since the look is stealth, colourway naturally had to be black, meticulously applied by On-Point Projects.

Royal Enfield name proudly remains on polished engine covers, but the tank wears a new yellow logo proclaiming the owners initials, PK, and created by Bike Shed’s Dutch. There’s no big mechanical changes on this custom build because none were deemed necessary. Idea - to create a one-off scrambler for off-day use - is more than skin deep but less than a full engine revamp.

Naturally being a movie star and all that Pom Klementieff hasn’t released details of what she paid for this build. And since the rest of us are unlikely to make even the one Marvel related film, let alone a recurring role in the entire universe, we’re just as unlikely to have access to the funds you’d make from such a role. That’s a long way of saying we've no idea what this customised Royal Enfield cost its superstar owner. However, a base Royal Enfield Bear 650, their latest scrambler, will be a great on and occasionally off-road Sunday rider. For around £6,750 it’s not movie star money. We’ll leave the Mission Impossible stunts up to you.
