Somewhere along the way, cycling kit got boring. Minimalist branding, muted palettes, and an overall air of aerodynamic seriousness became de rigour among a certain breed of image-conscious riders. But MAAP has always had other ideas, and, along with Bleach Design Werks, has created a limited capsule that leans into the bright colours and logomania of decades gone by.

For their second collaboration, the Melbourne-based cycling disruptors and LA’s custom moto specialists have delivered a capsule collection that smashes the status quo. Inspired by the raw energy of skate, hip-hop, and moto culture, this latest drop is a statement of intent – cycling gear that refuses to play by the old rules.

At the heart of the collection is Mikey Ojeda, the founder of Bleach Design Werks and the man responsible for custom bikes ridden by the likes of Nyjah Huston and Lando Norris. His approach blends the rebellious spirit of skateboarding with the precision of high-performance moto design. That ethos runs through this collection – technical cycling wear with an attitude more at home on the streets of LA than in the peloton.

MAAP x Bleach Design Werks: Key pieces

Expect bold graphics, industrial influences, and progressive cuts across jerseys, bibs, and accessories. The Bleach Pro Air Jersey 2.0 leads the lineup, available in both long and short sleeves, alongside the Bleach Team Bib Evo Cargo – a piece built for long days on the bike, but designed to stand out while doing it. Every piece feels like an experiment in breaking boundaries, merging function with an aesthetic that wouldn’t look out of place in a backlot motocross session or an underground fixed-gear race.

To launch the collection, MAAP x Bleach Design Werks are rolling out Happy to Ride Here, a global ride series hitting Los Angeles, Melbourne, London, and Berlin. More than just a marketing push, these events are about community, culture, and breaking cycling free from its more rigid traditions. “It’s about the happiness of looking down and being on your bicycle, being around the people you love, and just really being grateful for the simpler times,” says Ojeda. A sentiment that feels right on time.

MAAP has spent the last decade redefining what cycling apparel can be, and with Bleach Design Werks in the mix, it’s pushing that vision even further. Available exclusively at maap.cc and MAAP LaB retail stores, this collection isn’t for the purists – it’s for the riders carving their own path.
