Welcome to OPUMO's weekly roundup of our favourite shoppable finds. From menswear to design objects and everything in between, these are the pieces that have caught our eye over the past seven days.
Colour is great, but sometimes it's nice to strip things back. This week, we're keeping the palette strictly monochrome, focusing on black, white and the various shades in between. From pared-back Japanese menswear and minimal sneakers to graphic homeware and industrial audio equipment, these are the pieces proving you don't need bright colours to make an impact.

Auralee Gabardine Blouson
Auralee has made a name for itself with seemingly simple clothes that reveal their appeal through cut, fabric and detail. This black gabardine blouson is a perfect example: understated enough to work with almost anything, but with the proportions and finish to keep it well clear of anonymous basics.

Drake's Antique White Cotton Hiking T-Shirt
A white T-shirt doesn't get much simpler, but Drake's manages to make things a little more interesting. This antique-white version swaps clinical brightness for a softer, slightly off-white shade, long sleeves, a mock neck and a lightweight knitted construction.

Veilance Spere Pants
Veilance excels at taking technical clothing and stripping away anything that doesn't need to be there. The Spere Pants follow that formula with a clean, understated appearance that belies their performance credentials. Wear them with black outerwear and tonal sneakers for an easy lesson in head-to-toe monochrome.

SANVT Court Sneaker
There's a reason the minimal white sneaker refuses to disappear. It's clean, versatile and goes with virtually everything, from relaxed tailoring to jeans. SANVT's Court Sneaker sticks closely to the formula, using white nubuck suede to bring a little texture to an otherwise pared-back silhouette.

and wander Pertex Shield Rain Cap
A plain black cap is about as easy to wear as accessories get. This one from and wander adds some outdoor functionality to the equation with a Pertex Shield construction, making it a particularly useful option when grey skies inevitably turn into something wetter.

Nordic Knots Gild 01 Rug
Monochrome doesn't have to mean plain. Nordic Knots' Gild 01 rug uses a bold, graphic composition to make a statement while keeping the palette restrained.

Transparent Brutalist Aluminium Speaker
Looking more like an art installation than a conventional bit of audio equipment, Transparent's Brutalist Speaker makes a strong case for leaving your tech on display. Its angular aluminium construction provides plenty of visual drama without relying on colour to get your attention.

ETQ Bamboo Socks 3-Pack
Not everything needs to be the star of the show. ETQ's black bamboo socks are exactly the sort of anonymous wardrobe workhorse worth stocking up on: simple, soft and easy to wear with everything. Three pairs also means laundry day can be postponed for that little bit longer.

Artek Siena Cushion Covers
Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1954, the Siena pattern turns simple black and white into something far more distinctive. These Artek cushion covers are an easy way to introduce the Finnish architect's geometric design into a room without committing to a major furniture purchase.

Mismo Eclipse M/S Shopper Bag
Mismo's M/S Shopper is already a lesson in keeping things simple, and the Eclipse colourway takes the idea even further. Black fabric, black leather and minimal detailing make for a versatile everyday bag that should slot into a monochrome wardrobe without a second thought.
