Inspired by 1970s Dakar Rally machinery, built from a road-wrecked Yamaha Ténéré 700, Gas & Oil Bespoke Motorcycles’ triumphant custom rebuild is just waiting for its next adventure. Rescued after an adventuring friend of the Czech bespoke specialists crashed in Iraq - he was fine, the bike wasn’t - the Yamaha was in a sorry state. Front-end rebuild was the first job, featuring KTM forks and a new 21” wheel rim, with chunky dual sport tyres fitted front and rear. All bodywork is new.

Huge fuel tank - inspired by Dakar-spec Yamaha XT500 - is handmade in aluminium. Side covers are bespoke, plastic mudguards are by Acerbis, rear-subframe is modified to house the new seat, in waterproof synthetics. Tough roads? A fresh sump guard protects vulnerable bits. Distinctive front headlamp housing is 3D-printed, lights are from LSK, throaty noise is courtesy a Sharon exhaust, next open road up to you.
