JJJJound x Descente Allterrain is back for a second installment, this time expanding the partnership into a full modular system of outerwear and utility layers. What began as a small nod to ski-resort gear in their first project has evolved into a broader “off mountain” uniform built for weather, movement and everyday wear. The range sits firmly between minimalism and technical performance, which is a natural meeting point for both brands.
The follow-up to the first collection covers hardshells, insulated down layers, reversible jackets, vests, mid layers and accessories including a polar hat, crossbody bag and duffle. Waterproof, windproof and breathable fabrics form the base of the system, with seam sealed construction and reversible shells reinforcing the functional brief. Descente’s engineering sits alongside JJJJound’s minimal, material led approach, resulting in silhouettes that feel relaxed and deliberately adaptable.

Colour sits in the background. The palette runs through greys, taupes and muted neutrals, giving the pieces the kind of versatility that JJJJound has built its reputation on. Small flashes of Realtree camo and red embroidery break the quietness without overwhelming it, acting as controlled points of contrast. The intention is clear: familiar shapes, elevated through materials and quietly sharpened through detail.

The collaboration also reflects how JJJJound has grown from a 2006 digital moodboard into a design studio rooted in restraint and functional clarity. Its product language now spans apparel, footwear and interiors, but the throughline remains the same: proportion, permanence and subtle references drawn from workwear, sport and everyday utility. Descente’s technical literacy fits neatly into that framework.

The full Descente Allterrain x JJJJound collection will release on JJJJound.com on Thursday, 27 December at 9AM EST.
