Loewe is the luxury Spanish label which prides itself on an emphasis on craft and its origins in working with leather. Expansion has kept quality while transforming Loewe into a sought-after brand known for its often highly original edgy design style. Striking, elegant footwear remains a staple of Loewe, as you’d expect of a brand that began in Madrid in 1846 focused solely on leatherwear. Today's Loewe describes itself as producing “truly modern objects of desire”.
Closest comparison might be with Gucci. In the case of Loewe, the turning point was the appointment of renowned Irish fashion designer Jonathan Anderson as the driver of cautious transformation, always with an eye on heritage. Anderson is now creative director at Loewe as well as continuing with his own label JW Anderson. In addition, the French-based luxury goods conglomerate LVMH now holds a minority stake in Loewe, a sign of confidence that this is very much a cutting-edge brand for the future.

Loewe sizing notes
Loewe sources clothes in selected studios in both Italy and France. This means sizing standards can be those of either country. Our conversion charts should be of help in converting to the sizes that you’re used to. Footwear is to EU sizes, so again be sure to convert to the sizing conventions that work for you. Loewe is an exclusive label, and this means that some limited-run garments will have their own look, feel and size, so always double check with item details before ordering to be sure of the fit that works for you.
