At OPUMO, we’re no strangers to fledgling brands and at this point, neither are our readers. The OPUMO brand list is brimming with burgeoning labels from around the world offering innovative and stylish solutions for travel, the wardrobe and everyday life. However, it is rare to welcome a brand as new as PROJECTKIN. Just a few days old, PROJECTKIN aims to inspire and encourage the modern traveller to live more sustainably with a collection of lightweight suitcases and minimal travel bags that are made using at least 50% natural or reclaimed materials. The final goal for this Danish label is to permanently change the standards of travel goods and the way people travel. We’re already on board, and we want to welcome you on board too, so here is your first look at PROJECTKIN’s debut collection.

PROJECTKIN Carry-on

The star of the show is PROJECTKIN’s hard-shell suitcase. Available in Black Melange and Beige Melange, these lightweight suitcases are the eco-friendly suitcases we’ve all been waiting for. The sustainable shell is matched by premium leather trims and high-quality components to ensure a smooth ride through cities and airports alike.

Small accessory bags

From cabin suitcases down to the smallest pouches, PROJECTKIN’s collection is guided by an ethical mindset accompanied by minimal Scandinavian principles. Take the travel laundry bags, shoe protector bags and suitcase organisers for example. Each of these designs fulfils its purpose perfectly while looking great and ticking sustainability boxes, too. Side note: we’ve never fit as much in a suitcase as when we used the ingenious travel packing cubes.

PROJECTKIN Tote bag

A large tote bag is one of the most useful bags for everyday life. PROJECTKIN gives the classic canvas tote bag an update for the Tote Luxe with an eco-friendly main construction as well as premium leather handles. Carry this multi-pocket tote bag using the shoulder strap length or if you’ve got a lighter load, opt for a close-quarters approach with the short handles.

PROJECTKIN Wash bag

Head-to-head with the canvas tote bag in the battle for most useful bag is the large toiletry bag. This canvas wash bag features a silver-tone zip closure as well as premium leather trims and handle. Each of the four colourways boasts a slightly faded tint, ensuring maximum pre-loved appeal.

Weekend travel bag

PROJECTKIN’s canvas weekend travel bag caters to every side of the equation. The eco-friendly canvas body does its bit for the environment while still looking firmly luxurious. Multiple pockets prove PROJECTKIN’s utilitarian acumen. The best part? The price tag is eye-poppingly low for a bag of this calibre.
