Very few items of clothing are as synonymous with spring as the suede jacket. It was just a couple of weeks ago that we introduced you to the new CQP Quatra sneaker and explained how the new offering takes all the hallmarks of a 90s tennis and skateboarding shoe and makes it slimmer and easier to wear in the warmer months. Well, this week we’re back with a new colourway of the CQP Quarta. The light brown colourway, formally known as almond, is worth a mention because it sits towards the more formal end of the men’s sneaker scale. Which means you can easily wear them with a pair of pleated trousers and a simple crewneck jumper for a more comfortable approach to the modern day work dress code.
Mismo Primer Red / Black MS Express
Last year we championed the return of the backpack as a comfortable, versatile and more accessible bag than it has been considered before. That’s largely been down to Mismo as the Danish design studio have been producing an array of premium backpacks that elevate both its function and aesthetic. Well, they are back with another winner with this new MS Express Backpack. The third and smallest option in Mismo’s growing selection of everyday bags, the MS Express benefits from a standard zip top that is folded down and neatly kept in place by a leather strap and buckle fastening. Not only that, the silhouette is the slimmest of the lot – making it easier to carry on the every day commute – and benefits from a beautifully understated primer red and black colour hue.
PHAIDON Drawing Architecture Book
Everything that you look for in a coffee table book – beautiful illustrations and a story that is so well-put together that you can dip in and out as you so wish – is everything that this new PHAIDON title offers. Essentially, it doesn’t matter if you just hold a partial interest in architecture or are incredibly well-versed to reading architectural drawings, this ‘Drawing Architecture’ title will be an interesting look into the intersection of creativity and history for everyone. Artists and architects sharing their private sketches offers an extraordinary window into their creative practices. So, it doesn’t matter whether you pick up the book for five minutes or 30 minutes a day, it’s a concise and incredibly captivating read.
