Forét clothing was founded in 2014 by Jeppe and Jesper. The two Danish friends decided that people needed a reason to slow down, go offline and explore nature. Jeppe and Jesper believe that in a world that is constantly moving at the speed of light, time seems to pass us by and we end up missing the finer details in life. How do Forét combat that? By creating clothing using high-quality fabrics, which has a touch of playfulness while intertwining with street style and classic silhouettes. To introduce you to this brand, we’ve thrown together our favourite picks from the new Forét clothing AW18 collection entitled ‘Fish & Folk’. Forét see this collection as a “manual to making sure you are on track with your inner wanderlust.” We think you'll like it...
The Oatmeal / Blue Spruce Hoodie employs a classic and timeless colour combination to really get the Forét clothing point across. It’s eye-catching, understated and so easy-to-wear. The raised Terry lettering adds texture to the 100% organic cotton construction. Metal tips on the hood’s string complete the design of one of the cleanest hoodies around this season and are testament to Forét’s dedication to detail to ensure maximum quality.

Another cornerstone of Forét’s concept is memory. Much of Jeppe and Jesper’s design is inspired by happy memories. One such memory is school, hence this varsity-heavy Black Frost Scarf. Enrol yourself in the school of Forét for the winter term this year. The simple, striking black and white design is never going to get old and it will complement any piece of outerwear in your winter wardrobe, from black, grey and navy colour hues.
The Army Frog Shirt uses nature as its inspiration. Made of a heavy natural green corduroy, this is the perfect piece for a day in the country. This is by no means a garment that sacrifices form for substance though. All buttons are engraved mother of pearl which sits comfortably in the deep green hue of the plush 100% cotton corduroy.
Forét combine the formality and sharp cuts of clothing traditionally associated with cities with the utilitarian nature of country clothing. The Ash Pond Suit Pants are slightly tapered and have pleats running down each leg for a more formal style that is needed for any city situation. At the same time, they’re not so tight that they inhibit movement and are made of a viscose-polyester blend for added comfort. In short, you can’t go wrong with this pair of trousers.
