Design
Artisan Lab turned to the past — specifically the '80s — to inform the look of its Classic Sneakers. Drawing on the aesthetic of basketball trainers worn during the period, the design team kept the original enhanced cushioning but refined the silhouette to make it sleeker and less bulky. There are eight timeless and versatile colourways to choose from, including Off White, Navy and Warm Grey. Craftsmanship
Like all Artisan Lab products, the Classic Sneakers are 100% crafted in Italy, in the renowned shoemaking region of Le Marche. Durability and comfort have been prioritised, which explains Artisan Lab's choice to use 3D memory foam technology, which is an extra layer enclosed within the sole that adapts to the foot shape, offering extra cushioning. In addition, the label adopted a new type of footbed, which is made from an aloe vera blend that resists odours. Insoles are interchangeable, which means they can be refreshed or substituted for orthopaedic insoles. The leather used for the shoe's upper is 100% vegetable tanned leather, ethically sourced and tanned in Italy. The quality of craftsmanship is right up there with designer footwear, at a fraction of the cost.
