When Philipp Roessler realised that he couldn’t find a table that suited his needs, he did what we all wish we had the time and patience to do: he made his own. His requirements? To use raw, natural materials that last longer than a lifetime and look timeless. His creation was so successful that requests from friends began to roll in and he found himself working on commissioned furniture at such volume that it was no longer just a hobby. A few years on and Nuts & Woods exists thanks to that one fateful table.

Nuts & Woods Marble Dip / Slim Oak Bench
Featuring a marble-dipped seat while the rest of the bench is crafted from solid oak, this bench boasts two differing but equally strong patinas. The oak used is chosen for its intensive grain before being treated with high quality organic oil meaning that each bench is unique. The frame is made by hand in the Nuts & Woods workshop from stainless, powder-coated round steel.
Nuts & Woods Industrial Oak Shelf
These graceful shelves are made from solid oak and powder-coated steel. The long sides of each shelf has been left uncut to conserve the natural shape of the tree. The short sides have been straight sawn and all surfaces have been smoothed for a natural aesthetic. The contrast between the straight lines and sharp angles of the minimal frame with the natural undulations of the wooden shelves accentuates both sides of the design.

Add a highlight piece to your bedroom with the Diamond Mirror. The frame, built from hand-welded iron is at once bold and minimal, creating a large area in which the mirror sits. Lean the mirror against a wall for a less polished look, or hang with the provided hook if you’ve got less floor space too spare.

Exhibiting Nuts & Woods’ roots, the Oak Dining Chair has an air of simplicity as well as being refined. The solid oak construction may appear simple but masterfully curved wood ensures it’s comfortable and durable. The unique patina of the wood means that each chair feels bespoke-made.
