Well, not exactly a free Triumph motorcycle, but we'll get to that detail. What we can say is that if you're looking for your next Triumph motorcycle, and would like a watch as well, there's only one place to look. Storied British motorcycle makers Triumph have renewed their relationship with equally eminent precision watchmakers Breitling to produce this eye-catching version of their highly desirable Speed Triple 1200 RR - and there's an equally special Breitling Chronomat B01 to match.
The Triumph motorcycle - or as the company would have it a Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling Limited Edition - is finished in a discreetly luxurious grey and black colourway with hand-painted gold coachlines, with gold accents to front and rear suspension elements. Breitling branding is subtly there for those in the know. For a large high-end sports Triumph motorcycle, this is one stealthily luxurious machine.
Somewhat less discreet is the power that comes from the triple cylinder engine on this limited edition motorcycle. The liquid cooled race-derived inline-three is good for 177 bhp, while the three into one exhaust is fitted with another limited edition component: a Triumph x Akrapovič titanium silencer, though we won't guarantee that the noise from your new motorcycle will be silent enough entirely to satisfy your more disapproving neighbours.
Breitling, for their part, have made sure their new chronograph is more than up to the standards of the Triumph motorcycle it's designed to complement. From the case material in titanium and red gold, to the precision 47 jewel Breitling 01 Manufacture movement, which has 320 separate components, hand-assembled by Breitling's highly skilled technicians, this is a watch that echoes the precision engineering and attention to detail of the Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling Limited Edition Triumph motorcycle.
While you most certainly won't be wanting your new Breitling Chronomat B01 Triumph timepiece to be fast - and you can be sure that those exacting Swiss watchmakers at Breitling will have made sure of that - you will most certainly be wanting the matching Triumph motorcycle to run very fast indeed.
Luckily, estimated top speed of this motorcycle is well in excess of 140 mph, while 60 mph is reached in a whisker over three seconds, but then your new chronograph will have that timed for you already. Just 270 of these highly desirable Triumph motorcycles will be made, so you're unlikely to see another on the essential Sunday morning breakfast run. Price for watch and motorbike together? That'll be £29,000, which for two of the greatest names in their respective fields is, we reckon, pretty good value. Pillion ride, please.
