The story of Vans goes all the way back to 1966, when brothers Paul and Jim van Doren opened up their business in the heart of California. Within the space of just a few years, the broader skate culture adopted Vans as their shoe label of choice and the company soon evolved into the contemporary lifestyle company that it is today.
The iconic OFF THE WALL original styles such as the Vans Authentic, Vans Old Skool and the Classic Vans Slip-On were the beginning of a journey that spans over 50 years of Vans history and contemporary skate culture. Most importantly of all, the original sneakers still remain the brand’s most popular styles amongst its ever-expanding selection of footwear, apparel and accessories.
All of Vans’ sneakers, slip-ons and Velcro-iterations are crafted with great care, so you should take equally good care when it comes to finding the most comfortable pair for you. Check out the details of the Vans sizing guide below to find out how.
Vans sizing notes:
- Vans sneakers fit true to size, which makes the whole sizing process relatively simple.
- Vans shoes are available in half sizes, except for sizes UK 11 and above, which are only available in full sizes. If you take a larger size and you’re usually in between two sizes, we recommend that you go for a size up, rather than a size down. For example, if you ordinarily wear a UK 11.5, go up half a size and buy a UK 12.
- To find the most accurate fit, use a ruler to measure your foot from back of heel to longest toe and select the centimetre measurement from the Vans size chart below.
