The young Calvin Klein began with a range of jeans in the late 1960s and opened his first shop in 1970. The rise of his brand hit a real moment. Within just a few years, he'd appeared on the cover of American Vogue magazine and was lauded with the first of three consecutive American Fashion Critics' Awards. Klein expanded, with huge success, into men's underwear and gender-free fragrance, this last being a real revolution at the time.
