Welcome to OPUMO's weekly roundup of our favourite shoppable finds. From menswear to design objects and everything in between, these are the pieces that have caught our eye over the past seven days.
Good design is about solving problems, improving usability and finding clever ways to make everyday life a little easier. But aesthetics play a role too. This week, we're celebrating that sweet spot where form meets function.

Côte&Ciel Isar Backpack
We're not sure whether to put our laptop and Tupperware in it or display it on a marble plinth in the hallway. Therein lies the beauty of Côte&Ciel's architectural approach to everyday bags.

Purple Mountain Observatory Calyx Vibram Shoes
Dog walk, pub, campsite, puddles – the Calyx can do it all (as long as the water level doesn't exceed ankle height). Created in collaboration with the good folks at Vibram, it's a do-it-all winter shoe built to function in wet UK weather, and it looks the part too.

Vitra Uten.Silo
Turn the contents of that drawer into a piece of wall art. Designed by Dorothee Becker in 1969, Vitra's Uten.Silo features an assortment of differently shaped compartments, hooks and clips to organise various odds and ends.

Joseph Joseph Nest 9
Kitchen cupboards have a habit of becoming graveyards for mismatched crockery. Joseph Joseph's Nest 9 tackles the problem with a set of nine food-preparation tools designed to fit neatly inside one another.

Nanamica Gore-Tex Balmacaan Coat
Traditional outerwear looks great, but it isn't always particularly well equipped to deal with the worst of the weather. Conversely, Gore-Tex is second to none in the rain but doesn't always gel with casual clothing. The solution: this techy balmacaan from Nanamica.

Aarke Temperature Control Kettle
Aarke's stainless-steel kettle features five temperature settings, allowing you to heat water to the appropriate level for different drinks rather than boiling everything indiscriminately. Looks good on a countertop too.

Anglepoise Original 1227 Desk Lamp
Few products illustrate the relationship between form and function quite as neatly as the Anglepoise Original 1227. Born in the 1930s, it remains one of the most recognisable examples of British industrial design. Not bad for a lamp.

Drake's Straight-Leg Carpenter Pants
A pair of work pants with Savile Row pedigree. Do they look good? Yes. Will they ever see the inside of a Screwfix? Almost certainly not.

HAY Revolver Bar Stool
Designed by Leon Ransmeier, HAY's Revolver Bar Stool is a masterclass in making a simple object more useful through clever engineering. A concealed bearing mechanism allows the seat and footrest to rotate through 360 degrees.

VanMoof S6 E-bike
Developed with input from McLaren Applied, VanMoof's new S6 is a sophisticated urban transport solution that wraps a lot of technology in a remarkably clean silhouette.
