The originals date back to 1917, predating any other baseball shoe, and these Chucks were among the great sneakers of the 1970s. For SS15 comes this freshly-released respectful take on those cult pieces from Converse. Tanned leather laces complement stitched white egret leather uppers and a new just-off-white rubber sole. Audacious update succeeds? Oh yes.
White Leather Tanino Low Profile Sneakers by Buttero
These long-established Italian shoemakers have just released this version of their cult Tanino sneaker for SS15. These Taninos are hand-finished in white vegetable tanned leather, using authentic methods passed down from generation to generation. Hand-finished to Buttero's exacting standards, age will only enhance the patina of these sneakers.
White Retro Leather Achilles Low Sneakers by Common Projects
Updated for SS15 is what's become a favourite Common Projects profile, the Achilles Low. The off-white vulcanised sole contrasts subtly with Italian-made white leather uppers and a bold blue heel detail. As always these minimalist New Yorkers include their gold serial number at the heel. Nothing extraneous, and all the better for that.
